Assessor’s Office

The responsibility of the Assessor’s Office is to maintain records on all properties within its jurisdiction including:

  • Current Ownership
  • Legal Description
  • Property Dimensions
  • Improvements
  • Land Use

The Assessor is mandated by state law to establish uniform and equitable assessments to ensure that property owners will contribute only their fair share of the taxes needed to provide the services we enjoy. As properties are sold, market studies are conducted to determine the ratios at which comparable properties are being sold in various neighborhoods throughout the community.

The Village of Baroda shares the Assessor’s Office with the Township. Angela Story is the Assessor. If you have any questions about your property assessment, please feel free to contact her at: 269-207-2590 or email at: angelastory14@yahoo.com. She is available to meet with you on Thursdays each week at the Municipal Building at 9091 First Street, Baroda.

Board of Review hearings take place the Tuesday following the first Monday in March and continue until all appeals are heard. They are held in the Baroda Municipal Building Meeting Room.
